Hello guys! Here's a huge picture of me to start since I don't post many on my blog. No, today's post isn't a beauty review although I will be doing those in a few days. I just wanted to do a mini life update on last week because school resumes for me tomorrow (unfortunately). I know I used to update everyday but I think I can only do 2-3 posts weekly now. I went out pretty much everyday last week because I wanted to make full use of my few days of holiday left.
On Tuesday, I found some time to take photos for my blog. That didn't go very well and I had only one photo (out of so many) that I was satisfied with, which I used for my post on statement necklaces. I am so insecure in front of cameras and yet I'm such a perfectionist. It's like I'm not confident of myself but I somehow still expect to look flattering in the photos. Doesn't really work that way, huh? Yet I can't help but want everything to be exactly how I pictured it. I think the perfectionist side of me annoys people (especially my boyfriend). On top of that, I'm also very impatient. Seriously though, without patience how can things turn out the way I want it to be, especially if I aim for perfection?
Wednesday was the day I met up with Khloie, probably my closest friend since secondary school. We went to Stranger's Reunion, a cafe I've been wanting to visit, for some waffles.
There we simply ate and talked about everything and anything. I think we reached at around 6+ PM and sat till 10 PM. I haven't really sat at one place to talk to someone for that long in such a long time. We made some ambitious plans that I can't wait to share on my blog if we really succeed.
Thurdays are usually the days where T and I head out for our movie date because he's free and there aren't crowds in town. But last Thursday, we went to have Korean BBQ for dinner. The place we went to was in Chinatown, called Manbok BBQ Buffet. I wanted to try the food there because we'd visited another Korean BBQ restaurant previously, Ssikkek, just 1-2 minutes away. I much prefer the latter because the kimchi soup there was sooo good.
On Friday, we went to town and ate my favourite takoyaki before catching the movie, Transcendence. It was alright; nothing fantastic. We then queued for 45 minutes at Eighteen Chefs, the best place for baked pasta (imo), for dinner. We eat here so often because there's one at Tiong Bahru Plaza, the mall nearest to my house, and one in town. The rest of the food in their menu is pretty average, but you definitely should try their baked pastas! You can choose your own pasta sauce and toppings. Best part is, it's so affordable and worth every dollar if you get a student meal, complete with ice lemon tea and ice cream.
Then, on Saturday, T and I went swimming. I can't swim for nuts, so I basically go there to soak myself in chlorine water. He said he would teach me but I'm too scared in the water to learn. I'll try again next time!
That's it then! I'm not sure if you guys like reading posts like this. Do check back for new beauty reviews this week!
